Yampa Valley Land Trust is a Steamboat Springs-based land conservation organization: the only land trust that works exclusively in Northwest Colorado, for Northwest Colorado.
YVLT conserves open land resources that safeguard the region’s scenic landscapes, gushing rivers and trout-filled streams, clean mountain air, life-sustaining wildlife habitat, and productive ranchland that continues our rural cultural heritage.
We also want to open the door to new adventures and life experiences, connecting you to the natural world through strategic public recreation projects providing opportunities for hiking, biking, rafting, fishing, cross-country skiing, and watching wildlife.
Since 1992, our organization has permanently protected 56,130 acres across Routt, Moffat, Jackson, and Rio Blanco Counties. But we still have so much work to do in conserving the best of Northwest Colorado, and we can’t do it without your support!
