Ryan Gelling, Conservation Associate at Yampa Valley Land Trust, has informed the Board of his decision to take a position with the Routt County Assessor’s Office.
The YVLT Board accepted, with regret, Ryan’s resignation and offers him it’s most sincere good wishes in his future endeavors. Ryan has been with the YVLT for almost eight years and has been instrumental in the recent reorganization and has played a key role in landowner and community outreach in our market area. The Board wishes to express its gratitude to Ryan for his hard work, loyalty, and years of service at YVLT.
Ryan has agreed to continue with YVLT as a consultant as his position with the County ramps up to aid in the successful conclusion of six active conservation easement projects and various other initiatives. He will remain as caretaker of YVLT’s Rehder Ranch for the foreseeable future.
The Board is evaluating staffing needs going forward. Tonya Dean, a previous staff member at YVLT, will be rejoining the organization on a part-time basis beginning in May 2019.
Conservation Associate Bryce Hinchman will be available to answer any questions and advance current and future projects and initiatives. The Board and staff remain steadfast in their commitment to conserving open lands in Northwest Colorado and are working diligently to further the YVLT Mission.
Please feel free to contact any Board member if you have any questions or concerns.
